Engineering a naked-eye 3D anamorphic corner screen in Lahore—combining on-site viewpoint surveying, procedural brick VFX, dense SpeedTree foliage, and an 8K AI upscaling pipeline.
How the Elipse Studio team engineered a forced-perspective 3D anamorphic optical illusion for Lahore Zoo & Safari, calibrated to the exact pedestrian viewpoint below.
Lahore Zoo & Safari Landmark
“Transforming an urban corner into an open-air digital safari where a majestic leopard steps out of the forest and lunges into the open street air.”

MEASURABLE IMPACT
How we did it
The Elipse Studio team traveled directly to Lahore while the screen scaffolding was under construction. We observed resident big cats at Lahore Safari to study muscular weight and fur sheen, surveyed pedestrian crossing paths, and locked the precise optical "sweet spot" coordinates before writing any 3D code.
Inspired by the magical brick-wall opening in Harry Potter, we conceptualized an ancient brick facade that unlocks piece by piece. Using Blender Rigid-Body Simulation, we calculated procedural brick dynamics, physics collisions, and mortar crumbling to pull viewers from urban reality into the wild habitat.
We used SpeedTree to model complex trunk geometry, lush undergrowth, and canopy foliage with realistic wind physics. High-contrast cinematic backlighting (rim lights) was crafted to catch the edges of the tree bark, leaves, and the leopard's fur coat as it descends from the tree trunk.
As the leopard paces forward, its head, shoulders, and paws physically cross the front ledge of the simulated concrete box. We rendered a dedicated contact shadow pass that spills over the bottom ledge onto the building's architecture, convincing the viewer's brain that the creature has entered real airspace.
To meet tight launch deadlines without sacrificing fidelity, we rendered the master multi-pass sequence in uncompressed native 4K and deployed advanced AI upscaling algorithms to enhance micro-textures and fur sharpness up to 8K master resolution—verified on-screen at 60 FPS under 6,500+ nits daylight.

CORE TOOLS & PIPELINE:
The Lahore Zoo 3D anamorphic billboard was created by the creative technology team at Elipse Studio. The studio conducted on-site optical viewpoint surveying, procedural environment simulation in SpeedTree and Blender, photoreal creature fur grooming, and anamorphic perspective engineering.
Elipse Studio utilized Blender for the procedural "Diagon Alley" brick-opening rigid-body simulation, SpeedTree for dense forest set dressing, advanced 3D creature grooming for the leopard, on-site camera frustum alignment, and an innovative 4K-to-8K AI upscaling pipeline to deliver high-frame-rate master clarity under tight launch deadlines.
The Elipse Studio team traveled on-site to Lahore while the LED screen was under construction to survey physical pedestrian sightlines and measure the 90-degree corner curvature. They matched a virtual 3D camera to this street-level "sweet spot" and rendered dynamic contact shadows that spill over the physical frame, creating the optical illusion of physical depth and pop-out without 3D glasses.
Whether you are engineering a 3D anamorphic campaign for a flagship retail district, an eco-resort, an entertainment venue, or a Times Square / Piccadilly-scale corner screen, Elipse Studio delivers the on-site survey math, creative direction, and high-end CGI from concept to screen.
